Buxus Harlandii Mystique
If you’re looking for some fresh evergreen interest, meet Buxus Harlandii Mystique.
This is a densely packed rounded broadleaf shrub with a contrasting light trunk that’s textured for a built-in age-old look.
Mystique has thinner harlandii-type, rounded leaves.
Folk often like to shape their buxus, but it’s best to wait until the spring growth has occurred before you get to shaping him – if you wait, you might get some pretty butterscotch scented flowers.
Well suited to the bonsai hobby in a container, or a low growing hedge straight in the soil, Mystique is hardy, tolerating warmer temperatures and sharp frosts too.
Mulch your buxus in Spring and keep it watered during hot spells to keep those slender leaves in great shape.
