Cupressus sempervirens ‘Nitschke’s Needle’ has a slender columnar growth habit. The tiny, dark green, scale-like, aromatic leaves are arranged in slightly flattened sprays. This handsome conifer, with it’s needle-shaped silhouette, creates the classic avenue planting. It is a commanding feature tree, makes ideal sentries for either side of a gate or doorway or can stand alone as a striking container specimen. It takes approximately 10 years to reach it’s mature height.
