Ficus Microcarpa Green Island
Live on the coast but love shiny greenery? No problems. Ficus microcarpa will happily bunk up with you.
This is a shiny evergreen ficus that really brings a formal feel. The leaves are small but the plant itself is strong and tough.
Flowers are small so you might miss them, but as the warmer months pass it develops really lovely red berries that turn black. Birds love them so if you’re into wildlife this is a great choice. You can use this ficus to cover a bare area in the garden or create small hedges and dividers too.
This is a compact soul that doesn’t need regular clipping. It’s pretty much maintenance free once you’ve watered in and mulched the newbie plants.

- How far to space me: Give me at least a metre.
