Nandina Domestica
The charming and understated Nandina Domestica is also known as sacred or heavenly bamboo, but is not a true bamboo – it’s actually an evergreen shrub. It’s a good choice for folk who love the bamboo look but prefer non-invasive plants that are more easily contained.
In colder months the frost-resistant leaves turn vibrant red autumn colours and in summer it produces panicles of small white flowers that ripen into bird-attracting berries.
This is a very versatile and hardy plant that reaches two metres in height. He handles full sun, a wide range of soils and fends off most pest and diseases without an issue.
Nandina Domestica is low maintenance, attractive and hardy – a perfect gentleman in the border and one of those plants you can depend on. We highly recommend him for beginners and those of you that don’t have lots of time to spare.
This is a great value 10 pack of Nandina Domestica.
