Say hello to Photinia Red Robin’s favourite cousin – Photinia Pink Marble.
This is a tri-coloured evergreen shrub that grows leathery, variegated leaves with bright red new growth that’s margined with pink in Spring. During summer little white clusters of bee-attracting flowers appear. Pink Marble is just as tough as Red Robin keeping its foliage year round and withstanding frosts and droughts once established.
This is a dependable hedge that won’t let you down. It loves any type of soil and fills your outdoor space with dense sound-reducing foliage. It’s spot on for roadside hedging and breaks up the boring deck if you pop one in a container.
If you want Pink Marble you’ll have to commit to clipping her back in Autumn as she likes to grow quickly – but that’s a small price to pay for beauty.
