With flowers from late summer to winter, Camellias make a long impact on the garden. Their flowers, which may be white, pink or red and range from single to double, are also attractive to nectar-eating birds and beneficial insects. Many Camellia sasanqua are also lightly perfumed and make for beautiful floral arrangements. 

Quick Facts:

• What to use me for: I’m a gorgeous flowering specimen shrub, great in a stand-alone container, and can be pruned into a screening hedge.
• I grow to: I can reach 2-3m high and 1.5-2.5m wide. 
• Where to place me: Part shade, please.
• How far to space me: I need two metres of room, but if you’d like a tight hedge make it 1 -1.5 metres.
• Soil Conditions: I like a good layer of organic mulch and slightly acidic, well-draining soil
• Important facts: I do not like lime so please do not apply. I am frost tolerant and will do well with a regular application of camellia fertiliser
