Syzygium Tiny Trev
Tiny Trev is small but perfectly formed. He’s a native dwarf Lilly Pilly and doesn’t get very big only reaching a maximum of 75cms in five years.
His compact size means he’s spot on for patio tubs or as low hedging to mark out separate growing areas and the garden path – a great alternative to Buxus.
He may only be weeny, but Tiny Trev’s new foliage behaves like a regular Lilly Pilly, emerging orange-red and producing a few fluffy flowers. If you want to shape him Trev responds well to topiary.
He likes open sunny ground best and will grow in part shade too, but he’ll lose some of his tight conical shapings without lots of light. That said, he needs barely any pruning wherever you place him.
Tiny Trev is a really useful Syzygium that covers a bare area and lets you get on with the mowing.
