Syzygium Australe “Orange Twist”
Like your Lilly Pilly a bit different? Orange Twist is the one for you.
This native beauty is more upright than other Syzygiums and actually twists as it grows to produce an interesting texture you just want to touch. It has attractive glossy foliage that emerges orange and turns green as it ages.
In spring Orange Twist produces masses of fluffy white flowers followed by purplish berries in summer – a real treat for our pollinators and birds as well as giving them shade and wind shelter.
Perfect as a dense medium-sized hedge or screen, and an unusual specimen in a pot on the deck Orange Twist is one of our favourites.
