Syzygium Elegance is an attractive Australian native Lilly Pilly that’s more compact than others but still have those lovely glossy, dark green leaves. It puts on growth several times a year which emerges tinged with pinks and red shades – just lovely.
Fluffy white flowers become fleshy, edible magenta-coloured berries that attract birds, so plant your Elegance near a seating area for the best views of your feathered friends – it’ll provide shade for you too.
Lilly Pilly Elegance is ideal for a dense screen or hedge to keep that privacy from the next door neighbours. It can be trained as a standard or into exciting topiary shapes if you like to play around.
It’s pretty hardy too, resisting light frosts and drought once established. You’ll need to water her for 12 weeks after planting to make the magic happen, but this applies to all new garden plants.
