Phlebodium Blue Star is the plant you want if you are trying to bring some life into a dark space. You know, that unloved gloomy corner? Pop Blue Star there, he’ll grow quite happily in the low light and really brighten your living space.
This guy has a scruffy appearance with wide fronds that are strappier than other ferns, but he’s so loveable with blue almost greyish foliage that you just want to ruffle his hair – go ahead! He’s tough and you won’t mess up a perfect arrangement.
This lad needs a fair amount to drink, so give him regular water but make sure the potting mix is free draining so he doesn’t rot. A great idea is to pop him on a tray of pebbles inside the pot or add a sustee water indicator to your box.
