Platycerium Netherlands is also known as Compact Staghorn. This fern derives its name from the magnificent foliage that resembles a fan or branch of antlers. It’s a stunning feature plant in the home that develops more character as it ages – like fine wines and certain actors.
This one likes a warmer climate and needs a sheltered spot outside. As a houseplant try to keep Staghorn in a bright spot without any direct scorching sunlight that will burn his architectural leaves.
This beauty is a natural epiphytic, and like orchids, it can grow mounted on a substrate such as a piece of wood, in a tree or in a hanging pot. That’ll certainly create a talking point!
