Pothos Pearls and Jade

Pothos are great beginner houseplants that live for years, and Pearls and Jade is our go-to plant when looks are concerned.

Pearls and Jade have unusual marbled grey-green leaves with speckled variegation, just like his parent ‘marble queen’, and tends to appear more on the edges of the foliage as he grows. These speckled features, however, do not appear on the snow queen – this is the difference between pearls and jade and snow queen.

As it grows those mottled leaves start to cascade down so it suits a variety of positions such as a windowsill, bookcase, or even a hanging basket in time.

Pearls and Jade is a bit smaller and slower growing than other types of Pothos so it won’t outgrow it’s welcome even if you have little room.

Look after this beauty by giving her a bright but filtered location and only watering when the soil is dry down to a few centimetres. Discard any spotty or damaged leaves this will encourage new growth.

An increase in Black spots on the leaves and the sudden collapse of the plant indicate the soil has been kept too wet. Let the plant tell you when to water—when it starts to droop, it needs a good drink.
