Syngoniums are popular low maintenance plants that cope with low light. He prefers evenly, almost constantly moist soil but needs drainage and will not do well in a soggy environment. Red Heart looks great in a Green Wall, a pot on the office desk, or in a hanging basket where the warm foliage will cascade down. Outside you can use him in a container garden or as a creeping ground cover in a shady spot.

• What to use me for: Indoors I look beautiful in hanging baskets or a pot and in the garden I make a pretty addition on the shady deck or as spreading ground cover.

• I grow to: I reach 30cms tall and 50cms wide.

• Where to place me:  I need a bright spot without direct sunlight or a shady home outside.

• How far to space me: I need at least 30cms of space

• Soil Conditions: Moist but well-drained soil is best for me and occasional liquid fertiliser will keep me blushing pink. Oh and a pot with a drainage hole, please.
