Frilly Lace™ Lomandra multiflora ‘VER1’
Lomandra Multiflora ‘Frilly Lace’ is a perennial garden plant that comes back each year bigger and better than before – and best of all its native.
This tough but pretty plant has strappy leaves that often stay all year round in milder climates, and then in spring – bam! A glorious mass of scented yellow fluffy flowers appears bringing all the bees and butterflies with them.
This flowering Lomandra is a tough gal. She’ll withstand salt and some frosts and needs very little care once established. Sun or part shade is good just make sure the roots are well-drained – that’s about it.
Use her strappy leaves and lacy fluffy textures in a pot on the boring deck, or mass plant in the border. She’ll do you proud either way and take up little of your time. If you’re feeling generous mulch her roots and feed once a year in spring for larger, lacier blooms.
Quick Facts:

- Where to place me: I like the sun on my face but partial shade is good too.
- How far to space me: Give me 30cms of space in the border.
- Soil Conditions: Well-drained please – I’m not a soggy bottom kind of gal.
