O So FineTM Gardenia augusta ‘KEN04’
is a dwarf form of Gardenia.
He’s smaller but loses none of the gardenia impacts. Leaves are deep glossy green, but finer and narrow. The blooms are highly scented white beauties that are smaller than standard gardenias but keep the same form in miniature.
O So Fine is a gorgeous flowering mini hedge and fills the border with colour and scent. Pop some in containers to break up a boring patio and move them around the garden to your seating areas for non-stop scent.
This beauty loves sun to filtered sun and slightly acid soils, but if the leaves start to yellow it means the soil is deficient in minerals that gardenias need.
It’s a simple fix of applying Epsom salts or chelated iron onto the roots. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and those deep glossy green tones will soon return.
Plant 1-3 plants per m2.
Best time to plant is March – October with flowers appearing late spring and spot flowering in the warmer months.
