Agapanthus orientalis – blue is a clumping plant with strappy green leaves. Commonly known as Star of Bethlehem (flowering around Christmas time). The large head of mauve/blue flowers are arranged at the end of a tall stem and make a flamboyant statement during Summer. Agapanthus are tough plants well-suited to Australian conditions, needing little water once established.
