Found in northern NSW to Fraser Coast in QLD the Midgen Berry is pretty much the native Australian version of the Blueberry.. albeit white and a little tangier. Reaching to 1m high and 1m wide the Austromyrtus dulcis is a versatile plant that makes a great low maintenance hedge, a border plant or a small specimen tree. In early summer small, white flowers will appear which is a good indicator that the edible berries are on the way. After harvesting the berries give it a good trim to promote new growth and a better yield next year.
