Eucharis x grandiflora – Eucharist lily
Make room for Eucharis x grandiflora. She’s also known as the Eucharist lily and packs a huge punch of WOW!
This is an elegant bulb with fragrant snow-white flowers that have bright green centres. She’s a similar shape to the daffodil and has traditional daff foliage. This lady will flower all year round, but expect some dazzling long-lasting flowers in the warm months.
We like to place lots of Eucharist lily beneath trees and in containers to liven up a boring deck. If you pop some near your seating areas or next to the window a tropical perfume will drift in and remind you of cocktails in the sunshine.
The eucharist lily likes dappled sun and part shade, and you’ll need to keep the bulb from damp boggy areas. That’s about it – she likes the simple life.
Quick Facts:
- What to use me for: I fill bare soil beneath trees, pepper your border with snow white dazzle, and rock a container.

- Where to place me: I like part shade – dappled if you can manage it,
- How far to space me: Give me 15cms of elbow room,
