Dianella Variegata is a perennial, clumping plant. Grown predominantly for its strappy, boldly white-striped, grey-green leaves, it certainly makes a statement. As a bonus, the clusters of deep blue flowers appear on long spikes in Spring and are followed in Summer by shiny, dark blue berries. This is an excellent specimen for colour contrast and form in mass plantings; rockeries and for more formal landscapes. Preferring a sunny position in well drained soil, it is tolerant of dry periods and light frost.
