Dracaena Draco – Dragon Tree
What a statement piece for your garden! The Dragon Tree is a stunner from every angle.
This is a slow-growing, sub-tropical tree-like plant with a single scaly stem and blue-green spiky foliage. After 10-15 years he’ll produce a single flower spike with coral berries and start branching out to eventually form an umbrella-like habit.
It’s a long journey but there’s something very satisfying about growing alongside a plant – it’s not all about instant appeal and colour. A dragon tree will become your friend and see you through the years.
Even when young a dragon tree makes a fantastic feature plant around pools and in pots. Give him free-draining soil and plenty of sunshine to make sure he performs his best.
