The Dutch Iris is very popular. We think it’s because she brings that mix of classic beauty and modern colour. Plus of course, she’s very easy to look after – everyone loves that in a plant.
Dutch Iris will bring cheerful early season colour to your patio or garden with her purple blooms and green foliage. She loves containers and sunny well-drained garden beds coming back year on year to brighten the day.
Iris flowers last a long time when they’re cut, so plant up lots in your garden for late spring flowering and get ready to pick them.
We can’t decide if we prefer single cut stems displayed in slender vases or masses in a single large vase. Try both to see which you prefer – they last for ages and look expensive.
Dutch Iris likes a sunny spot and needs good drainage so the bulb doesn’t rot over-winter.
