Helichrysum petiolare is also known as the Licorice plant because its beautiful silver-grey foliage has a slight liquorice scent. Its silvery leaves are velvety soft to touch and trail making it great for hanging baskets or as a groundcover that spills over an ugly retaining wall. Give it a trim every now and then to keep a nice compact shape but other than that it is low maintenance and drought tolerant once established and can handle full sun or shade. So if you are looking for a nice mounding groundcover with silver foliage this is your guy.
