Phyllanthus Multiflorus is more commonly known as the waterfall shrub. It’s a very useful small to medium spreading shrub that has fine fern-like foliage and weeping branches. The stems are deep red and the little leaves are mid-toned green that suits all colour schemes.
This shrub is often grown as a low hedge or on a retaining wall so the foliage cascades down to cover up ugly brickwork. They make a brightly textured addition to the bare deck and look cute in a hanging basket. If you have a biggish space in the rockery this is a great choice. It’s pretty versatile!
This is a frost-hardy shrub that can also withstand drought once it’s established.
Plant yours in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. Water it regularly until you see active growth and you’ll have a fully established hardy plant that fills your outdoor spaces with lush textured greenery.
