Viburnum Odoratissimum is more commonly known as Sweet Viburnum. It’s a popular choice that’ll give you a great screen in a fairly short time.
Sweet Viburnum has a leathery oval, mid-green leaves with sweet-smelling delicate white flowers. It’s a hardy plant and once established is tolerant of dry conditions and light frosts. If you’re pondering between this one and Dense Fence, Sweet Viburnum has larger leaves and a more open aspect. Plant this sweet thing in fertile well-drained soil, fertilise once or twice a year, and water for the first twelve weeks to establish a fast-growing hedge line. It doesn’t hang about.
