Westringia fruticosa ‘Smokey’ want a break from the norm but with all the westringia benefits? Let us introduce you to ‘smokey’. A compact native shrub that will withstand just about anything you throw at it.
This little baby is native to the south-eastern coastal regions of Australia meaning he’s used to coastal conditions and soils, drought and the occasional frost too. Just make sure you plant him up in full sun and he’ll be golden!
The real drawcard for Westringia Smokey is his foliage – a contrasting mix of creamy white edges on top of silvery-blue/green leaves. AND he flowers almost constantly! (which is great for the bees and other pollinators). He’s great as a low growing hedge or in pots on the balcony.
